Testing/review of QuietPC.com products

I'm new here and apologize if this is not the proper forum for this request. If this topic is in the wrong forum please let me know.

I would like to ask AnandTech to do a review/test of the products from QuietPC.com as to how well they actually work. I know that they are probably not for overclockers (usually quiet and overclocking do not go together), but for the average user and mild overclocker I think this information would be of great benefit.

Listed below, in the order of their importance to me, are the products that I would like to see tested. In addition, to the question of how much quieter the products are, I would like to know how well they perform against the ?standard? or ?normal? products out there.
Power supplies
Processor Cooling
SilentDrive? Enclosure
Silent Video Card / Motherboard Cooling
Ultra-Quiet Fans

I can?t imagine that they wouldn?t be interested in receiving a write-up by AnandTech. After all, think of the business they would receive if the products perform!

I myself would thoroughly enjoy being able to do my work without the incessant hum of my pc droning everything thing out other than itself.

Welcome to Anandtech! The forums are basically entirely visitor contributions and generally unrelated to the review site. The two notable exceptions are the Anandtech News and Anandtech Articles fora which are used to discuss these respective topics. In your case, it might be worthwhile to post in Anandtech Articles. Topics there are generally only started by AT staff, but occasionally you see article requests there.

FWIW, I too would be interested in not just a review of QuietPC products, but a review/comparison of the various products available for making a near-silent PC.

heck yea i'd love that, that would be a nice article. I like my quiet pc now, volcano still a bit loud but holy crap its much much quieter compared to the delta i had before

I should also mention that if you want to ask any of the extremely knowledgeable people on these forums about how to have a quiet PC, the forum that gets most of that is Cases and Cooling. So if you have specific questions about products, ask there.

Be aware though that quiet products sacrifice performance, and many people around here are all about performance and will slant their advice based on that.

a review would be nice...but im curious....are you asking people to "buy" these products from the site you listed, then let you know how well they work?

Thank you for pointing me to the proper forum kgraeme. I read the descriptions for the 2 forums you mentioned and they seemed to be for articles that AnandTech had already done and not for suggestions.

I would post my question to the Articles forum as you suggest but I have found that cross-posting generally frowned upon in forums such as this. Any idea if I would meet any ?hostility? for adding this topic to the Articles forum?

I am glad to hear that others would also be interested in articles on this topic and products associated with it. The only reason that I mention QuietPC.com is because that is the only company that I know of that provides quiet-engineered products. I am not a representative of the company or related to one. If anyone can provide sites that offer similar products I would thoroughly appreciate it if you would pass a link along my way.

If people have purchased any of their products and can provide some actual information that would be great. I?m not looking for ?this new fan is quieter than my Delta? but actual db differences and air flow numbers. It definitely doesn?t do any good to have a quiet fan when that fan can?t pass enough air over/through the heatsink to do the job.

I most definitely want my PC to be quieter and am willing to pay the extra $20 per product to get it if the product is worth it. I am sure that other people feel the same way, as evidenced by a few of the replies to this topic at this point.

Does any of that make sense?

I just wanted to say you should definitely request this article. I would be interested in seeing how well their devicves perform. I might replace a fan or two in my case if there is a really noticeable difference.
