Testing potential video issue

Here is my scenerio and let me know how I can test to pinpoint what this is.

My computer is stable 98% of the time. Gaming, especially. It never freezes or anything during gaming.

However, every once in a while (roughly days in between), my computer will freeze on basic things. Like moving a window to my second monitor, or loading a web site (which after reboot loads fine).

I cannot figure out what it is, and need to know what things this could be?

Possible software itself errors?
Possible video card error? (Latest drivers installed)

First I plan on testing with a different video card for a week or so. It just sucks that the problem is so intermittent as it takes days to have anything happen at all.

Thanks for any tips, or if anyone has experience with such a problem and what they found.

My specs:

Athlon64 3200+
2g - 4x512 PC 3200 DDR
XFX Geforce 6600GT
Windows XP Home SP2

Thanks again

Same problem with a 6800GT. Try installing a different video driver set. Some seem to work better with different systems, dunno why, but it worked for me. NVidia updates often enough that there are zillions out there.
