I was never big on testing my computers performance. now that I upgraded, I would like to see how things run. can you people indulge me with what I would use and how I would use it. much appreciated.

One of the best and most informative posts on this entire board and it isn't stickied and now it has problems.
 
I think the forum software automatically converts URLs into hyperlinks, but whoever made that post tried to make their own.
 
well, I downloaded and installed PcMark04 and 3dMark01 (03 is still downloading). I ran the tests and all went fine; I can view the description just cannot view online and compare etcetera. you cannot do this without buying?
 
If you REALLY wanna see what's going on in there, get SiSoft Sandra '04.

That program will give you the straight dope on how fast every subsystem is running and compares it to stock scores for other components in and out of its weight class.

Believe me, it's GOOOOOD stuff, I've been using Sandra since like '02.
