Anyways i have played Rainbow Six Las Vagas on XBOX 360 but its out on 360 and PC. Now i was wondering if any one could some benchies and take some screenshots. Should be the best looking game on PC.

Well its funny how its coming to Australia on 30th Nov ;*( ... anyways XBOX 360 version is out. PC version is out but not in a legal way.
 
I played the 360 version. Its pretty good for a console game 😛

Gonna wait for some benchmarks first or reviews as i would like to know if the game will work well on recent video cards. Its proberbly going to be a console port and will more than likely run like $hit!
 
Dude, I was going to buy an Xbox 360 and give up PC gaming for a while because I wanted to play Gears of War and Rainbow Six Vegas. I knew Gears of War was 360 exclusive, but thought Vegas was too.

As long as my X1900XTX can run Vegas @ 1680x1050 with near max settings I will bite.

Bring on the benches!

EDIT: Just tried to download off Direct2Drive, but it says "pre-order and Auto download" in the basket 🙁
 
Vegas is for pretty much every current console but the Wii and the DS. Although, the PSP and PS3 will not see R6:V until next year.

yeah but that'll be a while and 360 users will of probably gotten to the end of the rumoured trilogy by that time too

True, just read an article, MS has unconfirmed the rumour that is will be coming to PC. So well its 50/50 if it comes to PC then.

well since GOW uses the unreal engine, shouldn't it be easy for them to port the game to PC?

It'll be a good port. The renderer should function (unlike my little friend CoD2) in a smooth, operable fashion, and I mean look at that game. Has anyone played it for 360? It's one of the best console games to date.
 
Guys the problem isn't to port the game to pc... The problem is to decide to port it.. 😉
Too much money from the consoles and they don't want to harm the console game sales..
It's too early yet for a pc version.. I'm expecting it after a year perhaps the earliest..
Hope I'm wrong though..

PC Gamer had a pic of a Games for Windows stand with up and coming pc games, and among those was Gears of War, which was the only one not officially announced for pc.

Since this thread is now officially about Gears of War, I will chime in with my $0.02:

It would be downright moronic to release GoW on the PC while it remains the one defacto app that can influence people on the 'to buy or not to buy X360' edge. It will probably come next Christmas. I mean, the killer app from the XBOX - Halo - took like 22 months to come on the PC.

BTW, has the Rainbow Six saga seen any major overhauls or is it still updated graphics with a few new levels? I haven't played a R6 game in quite some time now. How does it rate against Ghost Recon/Splinter Cell etc.?

MS knows killer games like this will tempt buyers, bringin it out on PC gives them the option then of not buying a 360 to play it. which equals less money for them
 
They could quite easily be in the process of porting it to the PC but they won't release it until they think they can make the most money from it. That's just how companies work.

Its changed completely from Raven shield. Its more of an arcade game now (a good one) with some slight tactical elements which appear to have been stolen from GoW. I use the word 'tactical' in the loosest possible sense, tactical as far as console games go. If you liked the hardcore elements with the planning from the old R6 games then you will be bitterly dissapointed with Vegas. It still has some pretty good action and some nice weapons with full 3d iron sights. If you dont take it seriously its pretty cool.
