As your sites continue to thrive and traffic increases I would recommend upgrading to a Steadfast VPS powered by DirectAdmin

can you guys tell me what you're seeing?

is it a plain white page that says the site will be down, with a youtube video?

No, it's a light-blue website (looks like news about sports is on it) with a forum section directly below and a poll to the left.

it was working fine when i posted the thread (pointing to the new server) and then suddenly it started redirecting back to the old server.

I've been thinking about getting another dedicated server maybe at SL.

What are your server specs, price and can you post a domain it's hosting? I need to find some time to play with my newest toy which will host a single domain.

site is my sig...

we have an opteron 170
2 gigs ram
250 gig sata II drive
server 2003
100 mbit port (dont need the 1000 yet but probably will add it along with a second sata 2 drive to make ghost copies)
and everthing else is their standard config

we pay ~160/month (dont know the exact price) but we got in on one of their specials.

With their datacenter in dallas and most of the people visiting our site are in texas it was the best deal for us. Plus they offered server2003 w/o charging an upgrade fee which most providers use.

is there any way to "force" my browser/pc to find the latest DNS or flush out the old one?

That's a great deal and I would go with Linux with CentOS for my needs.

Your forums load very fast.

it helps when there are only 20 people on at 1AM here... :)

but we have had it up to 160 on at once and its just as fast (by my calculations our server will handle 500-600 users online at once before we start to notice a slowdown) so we have a while before that. But our main reason for the win2k3 was I can manage everything myself (i never have found a cp that did everything i wanted but thats because i want it to do alot of specific things) but more importantly the included streaming server built into 2k3 was the main choice. We have had 60 concurrent users on the streaming server and it was only taking 25% of the avaliable bandwith.

I just tried your page and it is a white page with a video on it. I am from virginia/east coast if it makes any difference.
