The test is pretty dumbed down. Just read it once and you should be fine. People that fail usually don't bother reading.
 
Just pic the highest amount for all the penalties and use your common sense. It has simple questions like, "what is the shape of a stop sign." Don't sweat it.

just read the free little booklet a time or two...

i never read anything before i took mine, failed the first time by 1%, then retook it and passed easily.
