The first thing I noticed while walking towards the car's front end was how wide it was (compared to the other normal sized cars in the lot) and how relatively small it was for how much hp it has. Hopped in, awesome interior. The leather on the seats is very comfortable and I felt right at home. I then took it onto I-55 and floored it going onto the interstate. The whiplash set me back in my seat realizing the full 400 horses... it was great. I drove it around for another 15 minutes or so. I guess I can get a real deal on an '05, but unfortunately I'm going to have to wait for a few more paychecks to come in. I didn't even want to try financing it to the extent I'd need to right now so I didn't bother the financing people with it.
I've driven what I think to be a decent amount of cars that I can compare it to
'03 Audi A6 (fully loaded)
'97 BMW 5 series sedan (fully loaded)
'92 Porsche 911 Turbo
The GTO's engine *sounded* better than all of the above... but of course it's a different class of car to most of the above. Overall I found it to feel like a 40-45K car when in reality it's about 32k.
Later today I'm going to try out one of the Dodge Charger sedans to compare it to the GTO and maybe even try a car at the BMW dealership that I probably won't ever consider (as I can't afford it) just for fun.
