So who is getting TDU2 on release day? (11 Feb 2011 - UK Release Date)

I loved TDU and cant wait for TDU2 🙂 - Lets hope it is as good!
 
I just pre-ordered it off Amazon. Lets hope TDU2 has better support for Logitech G27 than TDU1. In TDU1 Force Feedback was broken in G27 and was never fixed 🙁

In all fairness, its an arcade game, not a simulator. The game runs just fine with a pad. But I understand what you mean. In addition to being prettier I hope it runs better as well.
 
FYI - Kmart has $10 worth of rewards points to go with TDU2 plus a free copy of TDU for the PC if you buy the Xbox 360 version and a free copy of TDU for the PSP if you buy the PS3 version.
 
I guess I'll hold off for now but I really enjoyed the first game. One of my first 360 games.
 
I had the first TDU on PC, but this 2nd one I ordered for the X360. Looking forward to cruising around 😎
 
Are there any reviews floating around for it? I didn't really see any and that always concerns me when a game is releasing with no reviews already out.
 
I'm looking forward to hearing the opinions of those of you who got it today! I may pick it up when the price goes down a bit as I like games where you can just relax and see some cool stuff.

One thing I have heard is that the graphics are very lackluster.
 
I'm a big fan of racing games and they are lots of fun with my logitech g25 wheel but this one looks boring, sorry to say. First of all, from all accounts, it's arcade physics is a negative in my book. The graphics do not look all that great from the videos I've seen but they are low res youtube vids so I could be wrong there.

But what I really am confused about is what do you do in the game? I've never played a TDU game before as I missed the first one so I don't see what the point of the game is. Is there racing involved? Is it more like the sims? From the videos I've seen it seems more like the sims than a racer but again I have no experience playing it so I'd need to know what the gameplay is like before deciding to get it or not. Right now I'm leaning towards not.
 
^I'm in the same boat...what exactly do you do in the game? I played the first 2 test drive games back in the 90s but haven't really touched them since.
 
Some posted a review on the PC forums, apparently, it sucks, i'm staying away from it.

Looks like GT5 still has my biz. Hopefully they release some DLC soon.

lol Bobo the clown has a hard on for me because I owned him in a thread once by showing him how mentally ill he is. Now he can't let it go because he's foaming at the mouth constantly over it. Bobo just so you know your tears are like wine to me. Sweet delicious fruity with a note of sad pathetic ass clown sweet wine. Everyone now knows this. Because I told them so.
