I heard this in the car today and came away very impressed! His kind of self-reflection would be greatly appreciated by moderates and liberals, and I thought his story really provides another interesting back drop for context with the snowflake alt-right's sudden love of civility and decorum.
I'm really not used to hearing an evangelical speak with empathy, a respect for facts, zero dogma. Wow. If only the republican religulous could have a similar awakening, because he is the kind of christian American christianity needs. I agree the support of Trump will have a cost, and not just politically. Let's hope the next gen of evangelicals understands that selling out is a bad choice for people who like to preach about morals, integrity and faith.
