The U.S. My point was I am glad we do not live near these areas that make the news daily with bombings, assasinations and riots.

I spent a few days in Madrid back in 1998 and tensions were high then because of the war in Kosovo. People thought that there might be an attack sense Spain was lending use of their airspace and territory for staging grounds. Same when we crossed at Gibraltar to go to Morocco.

My gut feeling is that it might be Islamic terrorists who did this. ETA has denied responsibility. In the past they always claimed responsibility for things they did.
