60 feared killed in Mumbai blasts

Tuesday, July 11, 2006: (Mumbai)

At least 60 people are feared killed in the series of blasts that rocked Mumbai today.

Seven blasts have taken place on different railway stations in the city.

Mumbai Police Commissioner A N Roy confirmed that 60 bodies have been counted at blast sites or hospitals in different places.

The first blast has been reported near Khar Railway station in Mumbai, which has left several people injured.

I am so sad.... I have no words to express my anger...
BTW, I am Indian..

Another sad act of terrorism.

not to sound insensitive but if i remember corrrectly don't ppl like hang off the sides of those trains like almost completely engulfing it with humans?

Terrible though... I don't think the Indian government is going to take this sitting down.

Yes..kind of.. during the rush hour, there are a lot of people travelling in the train.

This is horrible news...

Where did you read it was Pakistanis? I just scoured the net quickly and didnt read that on BBC CNN or Reuters.

This is going to get so bad, I pray there is not a reoccurence of what happened in Gujrat in early 2001-2002...

its pretty much a sure thing its Pakistan based terrorist group, I spent so many years in Mumbai and know so many people who live there, hope they are all fine.
