Yeah and he is going to be a rich fatass. 2 time all American if memory serves me right. And coming off a National Champ win. He'll be picked in the first few rounds.

Most overrated player in college football. Some 3-4 team will take a chance on him, but he's probably costing himself millions by being so overweight.

he is a lazy guy but he will fit the 3-4 amazingly...no matter what its gonna take 2 guys to handle him

I'm guessing around 20-25 overall in the draft

I don't know about most overrated but this is probably true. A 3-4 team will probably take him and he'll probably end up in a 4-X defense playing DT but while most likely lose a spot to a much faster DT at some point. Or who knows, maybe he'll be a HOFer :p

Hmm ..... Does this mean that if I put on 70 pounds that I could get an extremely high paying NFL job? I could probably put the weight on in under a year if I tried ....

Wow, what a great written article -- "somewhat limited in the draft by the prevalent view that he is best suited as a 3-4 nose tackle, when many NFL teams play a 4-3." What a farce, 3-4 NT are coveted. KC had a guy that had been out of football for six years playing NT this year because they couldn't find anyone else to play it iirc. A 3-4 NT is highly coveted.

That's one big booda. I wonder how much he weight in varsity HS. I don't think any human heart is strong enough to carry that much weight.

Not quite true. I don't even know if that guy ended up playing. They used Ron Edwards most of the time, but he's not really suited for the role.

It is true that a 3-4 nose tackle is fairly coveted, it is also somewhat overrated in that most teams seem to have success using a couple or even a few players versus just one for that position. Most guys that big just can't hold up for an entire game.

Keep in mind that both Richard Seymour and Vince Wilfork could be free agents as well.

We'll see what Cody weighs at the combine, but he has a lot of knocks against him. He just doesn't have the motor, isn't fast off the ball, can't last an entire series in college, and does not demand a double team despite his size. If he's that way in college, I don't see him being very good in the pros unless he really busts his ass (the fact that he did lose a bunch of weight for this season will definitely help him). He has a lot to prove, and is a big gamble. He'll definitely have to show up in better shape and with a better attitude than Andre Smith did last year (which Cody's been likened to him, only worse).

Please Lions don't take this guy.

Hopefully they learned their lesson with Shaun Rogers.

Cody's strategy: Snap ball to QB. Stretch arms out. Don't move.

When you're a 400-lb fatass, you don't have to move; everyone has to try to go around you. He'll die from heart failure in the next 3 years. Ham sandwich'll do him in. It's always the ham sammich. Just ask Mama Cass.
