termites

I purchased my home about 6 months ago and it was treated for termites by terminix before I moved in. The damage was basically to one floor just and 2 different areas of the plywood floor.

I received a bill for annual inspections for $250 which seems a bit pricey. Does anyone have their homes treated/inspected and how much are you paying? I'm thinking of contacting a local pest control place instead.

havent gotten a pest inspection since we bought our house 5+ years ago

WAit, was the damage done AFTER the treatment? They're liable for it if it is.

My parents pay $200 a year for a inspection. 5000 SQft house. They have it done every year. It comes with the asurance that if they do find termites they get rid of them for free. Good deal to me seeing the damadge those things can do.

WAit, was the damage done AFTER the treatment? They're liable for it if it is.

This was $250 a year for a 1400 sq foot house. Damage was done before treatment.

$250 doesn't seem all that pricey to me versus the tens of thousands of dollars worth of value your home could possibly lose due to termite infestation.

You bought a house with known termites and damage?

My house was inspected for termites and I had a 1 year warranty that if they show up I get free treatment.
