Termites suck

Noticed the other night that our hardwood floors had two spots that had bubbles in them. I was like, what the fvck. Took a screw driver and popped the bubble. Well there where termites in the first bubble, second bubble had termites in it at one time but not at the present time. Well I called four different pest control places to come and look at what it would take to get rid of them. Well the one guy that was able to come out yesterday said it would cost around $1000 just to treat the damn termites. got the other three companies coming out today. I ripped up the hardwood around the spots and sure enough there was a stress crack in the slab. I live on a slab, no crawl space or basement. Well, I ripped up the hardwood back to the wall where the crack starts and there were termites in the baseboard. Could not tell if they were in the walls 2x4. I don't think so, and hope they are not.

If treatment for this runs around 1000 dollars, putting a whole new floor of pergo would run around 6000 installed. This really sucks.
How hard is it to lay the pergo that snaps? I could get the materials for around 3000. This would save me alittle.
