You want to know why nobody is watching TV? Here is an example. This is from my Comcast Guide in regards to Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles:

Sarah contacts Terissa Dyson in an effort to track down Skynet's creators. The search leads her to a computer programmer named Andy Goode. Meanwhile John and Cameron try to fit in at a new school.

I can just imagine the conversation at the end of the day:

Sarah Connor: So, John. How was your day?
John Connor: Oh you know, Mom. I am having trouble finding friends at this new school of mine. I feel like such an outcast there because I don't belong to any cliques. Plus, the girl I like won't talk to me. How was your day?
Sarah Connor: Well, I was busy trying to save the future of humanity. I was trying to prevent a runaway national security AI system from taking over the world. And during all this, an unstoppable cyborg from the future was trying to kill me.
John Connor: .....
Sarah Connor: Yeah, we both had rough days I guess.

It still was the most successful premiere in the last couple years, and was Fox's highest-rated premiere since 2000 among 18 to 49-year-olds.

it's a series based on Terminator's. Most tuned in just because of that

I was just disputing the claim that no one is watching TV, since apparently many were watching the premiere episode.

They're just all metal underneath the surface though, I don't think it would be very pleasant. Maybe if they installed a fleshlight in the new Terminator...:light:

Have you actually watched the show, or just read your jackass Comcast guide? My guess is you have not.

aside from the X-files, I think every other movie/tv tie in I've ever watched has disappointed me.

The X-files was a TV show before a movie right?!?

As for Terminator show, I didn't watch it, but if I did it would just be to see Summer Glau because she is hot. But I just couldn't make my self watch such a great movie series get trashed as a TV series. All 3 of the Terminators are GREAT movies in my mind (YES, even the third one), and I just don't want the franchise ruined in my mind by a crappy TV series.

If you thought the 3rd one was that good, you might as well go ahead and watch the TV series - you won't notice any problems. :)

I have not watched the show because the previews didn't interest me.

Oh, they're working up to it. She's a "new model", obviously. She eats (chip @ the gas station) and she shows (or fakes) emotions. It's inevitable that they will "hook up" somehow. It is fox, after all. Even if your running for your life from a deadly robot (none of whom can hit anything they shoot at), we're still supposed to be interested in "pretty white kids with problems". Bad, bad, bad show........

the terminator's the same girl from serenity. who wouldn't want a robot friend like her? on the other hand, having a friend like her around means that they're all out to get you...
