Anyone else really looking forward to this tv show coming on fox next year? I don't even want to start watching it because fox may take it off to early like they do with some shows. Looks really good though. Suppose to take place after Terminator 2!

Last episode 2/18/08 was really great! I love seeing the flash forwards of the end of the world after the machines won. Really awesome! Hope T4 is nothing but that because I always wanted to see a whole terminator epic movie like that.

pcslookout, T4 is supposed to follow T3. It's been said that this show ignores T3 and starts a whole new continuity. Basically, an alternate timeline.

That sucks, why can't they just follow canon that they already started? ugh, lame.

Well, i do enjoy Sarah Connor Chronicles. Its different and fun. Plus it has Summer Glau, which is always a plus.

My wife and I have enjoyed this series. We really like the flash forwards to the future as well.

Still, it is hard to envision Sarah Connor as anyone but Linda Hamilton.

Plus, where the hell are they getting all this money to get a new Jeep, guns, food, computers, cell phones, etc?!?!?!?

as T3 sucked giant green donkey balls, its pretty horrible that they're going to keep going with it for T4.

and what'll happen, they'll emerge from the bomb shelter and see robots everywhere? lame.

its a show about robots from the future coming to kill people but which can't shoot a gun straight and you ask about money? obvious answer is that conner's peeps from the future bought intc and msft during the ipo and that summer glau knows the account numbers.

While the premise of the show requires imagination and a leap of faith, I'd still expect basic laws and principles to apply, such as money needed for all these goods. Having all these nice things without any apparent means of income or capital is the same to me as John Connor sprouting wings and flying away when a Terminator has him cornered.

Maybe they're stealing all of them but that would bring a lot of potential heat down on a small group of people doing their best to avoid attention.

I have only watched the pilot episode so far, but I had one major problem with it. (Insert obligatory "You have no problem with time-travelling killing machines but you have a problem with X?" comment here.)

The Terminator that had the gun hidden in its thigh cavity. Why would SkyNet go through the trouble of putting that cavity in there and sending the machine back, knowing it would ruin its disguise when it had to cut the thing out? Now, I can see the trade-off if it was a high-tech weapon, but I think it was a Glock! Why even bother?

After seeing the original movie, a friend of mine and I discussed why they didn't stick a plasma rifle through a cat, as the cat might live long enough to make the trip. With some surgery, they could ship a whole arsenal inside of a cow. The earlier Terminator comics by Dark Horse covered this concept years ago, but after we had already come up with it.

What they did in the comic was cut open the human tech that remained behind to operate the time platform, stuff a laser pistol inside of his gut, cauterize the wound, then ship him back with the Terminators that were sent back to pursue the humans that had already gone through.

Have you seen T3? This show takes place between T2 and T3, and clearly none of it had happened in T3...which means it clearly can't be the same story.

maybe its just a different time line... since they keep creating alternate ones when they travel in time.

What freaked me out was the reprogrammed terminator going on a rampage in the future, then Cameron saying "Sometimes they go bad. We don't know why." Then at the end she hides that piece from Sarah. I see a future storyline where they start to lose control of her.

I never thought the guy from 90210 could play such a badass either. I hope he stays on the show for a while.

Not that it makes everything all neat, but they did score a pretty sizeable load of diamonds from the safe house a few episodes back. So that should make for a pretty could money supply as long as they are not getting hosed by their fence.

How about not resurrecting your obviously dead thread, and instead post in the one that has so clearly dominated this topic?

Which guy was from 90210? The paramedic or Reese?

Last episode was pretty good. Wish they had more money to make better chase/action scenes. Wrecking stuff in an abandoned airfield or warehouse just isn't the same as having a huge tow truck smashing 50 cars or having 20 cars hot up.

I thought it was good too. I doubt she's going bad, she's probably going to secretly ( I don't think his mom would approve ) give John the CPU and tell him to get started learning to reprogram the chip.

Near the end that nod between future Adam and Derrick - was that Adam telling Derrick to kill him in the past?

I thought the terminators dragging a jet engine was kinda funny, as well as using a bunch of them for the time machine.

hmm. i suppose you could be right. btw, it's andy. not adam. this isn't heroes. :p and yes i think andy did mean for derrick to kill him. after all, he confessed to him and told derrick that it was his fault.

Last episode was better than the pilot.

Only three more episodes left! One next week and two back to back after that! Looking forward to it!

Wow wow wow... I thought they had 12 episodes? We up to 6 or 7 now?

It was pretty cool how they actually mentioned and showed that they used reprogrammed terminators to fight in the future. This whole time I only thought of them as "for turning back time only".

Wonder what they did to the people in the basement in the future. Was reading at the time so missed what they actually did.
