How do I log into TS on w2k and get the actual desktop session... in the same fashion that you would with VNC?

you can't.

^^Correct. That functionality only exists on Server 2003. It technically exists on XP too, but XP *only* allows you to connect to session 0 (there are no other sessions).

To get to session 0 on 2003, you run mstsc /console /v:servername

Actually I think there are if multiple users are logged in via FUS (AFAIR). But, you can only access one at a time.

That sux, so then there is no way to log onto the null session in 2000.
