terminal service connection problem

im runing 2k server....installed the terminal service patch cuz im making this a file server in the office...and well room for another keyboard mouse and monitor is pointless and kinda hard in the tiny room.

anyway i took out the agp card and booted..i see the computer on the network and through the remote assistance on XP yet i cant connect? any ideas?

i put the video card back in the system and it works fine....i have heard of pcs without a video card installed and they work fine.....why isnt this? could it be the motherboard?

could be. The question is, which is easier, fiddling around until you get it to work without a vid card, or just leaving the vid card in and moving on ;)

Check your BIOS.. Most mainboards need to be set for "headless" operation, otherwise they throw up a hardware error at POST...

agree'd... I usually just find a cheap pci card to throw in, always a pain when you need to get to the terminal on a windows mahcine and noe video card exists....
