Terminal Question

I have an external drive mounted on my mac and I'd like to make a hidden folder on it using the TERMINAL. How do I "browse" to that drive on my terminal so I can create a hidden directory?

cd /Volumes
ls

it should show up there.

thanks. I just found that too. The "volumes" was the part I was missing.
