Anyone ever done this before? I know it is not that hard, but is there anything I should know? Anything special with Tercels?

I will say this; and it's applicable to any gasket replacement on any vehicle.

Make sure you get every last trace of the old gasket off of BOTH mating surfaces. If you don't you WILL have leaks.

Alright, I will add a knife to my tool box tomorrow.

Best tool for gasket removal is a 1" putty knife, purchaseable at any Home Depot/Lowes. Really. Just don't "gouge" th3e metal of the head/block. Be firm, but careful.
