I honestly dont need a Terabyte of HDD space (with my new gaming pc im getting a WD 80gig) but im just curious as to how much they cost??

you could go for 2x400gb and 1 200gb. i think the lacie bigger disk is actually 4 drives in one enclosure, formatted as one.

Also, do you want cd-drives as well? If you do, and you want 1TB IDE, you need a controller card. If you have a 4 SATA mobo though, then you can get away with it. My friend built a 2 TB RAID 0,1 (4 stripped, then the other 4 stripped and mirrored) for his architect parents using 8 x 250GB. He wants to build a new 8 x 250 and RAID 0 that and use the entire other computer as backup. So a 2TB server with a 2TB backup. HDs failed too much so I think he should use a tape array or something.
