TEPID -- OD Maxell 50pk Full Size Jewel Cases $5.62

As the title says, it's a 50pk box of full size (not slim) jewel cases. Marked at $11.24 on the clearance table. 50% off everything on the clearance table, so they go for $5.62. It was tepid enough that I couldn't say no, what with all those free after rebate, or $4.99 for 50 CDRs floating around.

Interesting note is that there wasn't a SKU on the box, or on the receipt. UPC code is 0 25215 19174 9. Maxell part number is CD-388. I watched it ring ... it rang at $22.48, but there was a pink tag with $11.24 on the side of the box, so the cashier did the 50% off math to get to $5.62. Well, not actually ... he put in $5.00 (dividing by two was, so, like, way too complicated, dOOd3), so it got the least little bit warmer. YMMV on finding a math-impaired clerk.

not trying to flame, but from personal experience, I've been using Jewel cases for a while, and the other day, I just got fed up with them because I couldn't find some of my cds.
Today, I see the thread on the CompUSA 208 CD Wallet, and get 2 of them. I organized my CDs, so that now either I won't lose them individually, or I will lose them all at once 😉 Hopefully not the second option, but you might also want to consider a CD wallet 🙂

DF -- I don't consider it a flame ... that's why the deal is tepid. If I thought it a be-all end all deal, it would be advertised as LAVA SCORCHING HOT!!!!!!! But I think we can both agree it's not.

I have (and will have) both storage mediums, along with plastic jackets and thin cases. I myself prefer the hard plastic thin cases. ChumpUSSR seems to sell out of the sale model CD wallets quickly ... I picked up a 208 count holder on the same trip today, and ChumpUSSR didn't have many left. For those that still want a full-thickness plastic jewel case, without the messiness of rebates, then this Office Depot deal might be something worth looking into.
