That is very interesting, have been waiting for this for quite a long time. The planet has been suspected to exist for quite a few years...

They could start a tradition of naming the last planet after a cartoon dog, I think Scooby-Doo would be appropriate!!! Worked fine the last time 😉

 
The powers-that-be need to come up with a definition of what a planet actually is so that we aren't in the future going to have hundreds of planets in the solar system. As telescopes get better they're just going to find more & more of these objects in the Kuiper Belt.

There's been a few scientists already calling for a number of years to downgrade Pluto's status to just a large Kuiper Belt object.
