There has always been tension between Blacks and Latinos, as news reports, and even WFAN's Boomer Esiason has reported in the past, but the migrant crisis in big cities like Los Angeles, New York City and Chicago are causing Black and Latino race relations to worsen.....

This might be one fissure that harms the Democratic Party, as the Dems are a coalition party....

That was one of the biggest eye openers for me when I lived in Anaheim, CA which is about 65 percent Hispanic. I noticed there really weren't that many black people around and I think Orange County it's maybe 5%. I then found that there was a distinct dislike of blacks and they weren't welcome. Within the time I lived in the area, there were some big fights/riots going on between Hispanics and blacks in the LA county high schools. This was in the 2001-02 time frame.

That will be the future of America as by 2040-2044, there will be no majority race, and blacks and Latinos will grow and grow...

"Why aren't the democrats racially pure and uncomplicated like that great Republican party? Surely they understand that mixing races under one tent is problematic and leads to chaos and an inability to hold power?"

The Dems are a racial coalition party of groups that don't like each other. Blacks don't care for Latinos, Blacks feel Latinos are an economic and social threat to their communities, hence this original thread. Blacks don't like Asians, and vice versa.

The GOP is a pathetic party, they could have broadened their appeal with other minority groups. They ironically could with Trump, his economic message resonates with Black men.

It's not creating division by pointing out that there are racial rifts in the Democratic Party. Blacks feel that their agenda is not being prioritized (reparations), but Latinos's immigration stuff is.

Most Black Americans are Democrats. The Democrats are the home for Blacks. Black Republicans don't win elections, same thing with Latinos, although that is slowly changing.....

There is going to be tension between these groups as Latinos and Asians become ascendant....Black Americans may create a third party for Black American interests soon....
