i don't think the pci bus is up to spec on a 486

Dual SLI V2s and a P2-300, should be nice.

The VooDoo2 would probably choak if you got an Athlon, yes. Just save up$200 and get a GeForce2GTS

If you have one V2, then I'd say a 300/333 is the absolute max before the system bottlenecks. If it was SLI, then you'd have a little more breathing room.
