my roomate has one....he paid something insane like $1800 for it, and it is comfy to sit on but he can't sleep on it very good. He tried to return it a few weeks after he got it and they said he could only exchange it for a higher quality one. Pretty crappy IMHO!

If you want a good mattress for your back, get those regular spring mattresses (or stick to the one you have) and get a pillow top or foam top for your bed. Believe me, even an old mattress will work wonders! And your back will thank you. :)

Quite the opposite experience here...have previously bought 2 "top-of-the-line plush pillow top" Serta and Sealy mattresses - suffered from backaches for 6 years until I switched to a tempur-pedic (king size, cost me $2000  ) - but totally worth it - even now, if I occasionally lie down on my old bed, my back starts to hurt within a few minutes. I can feel every spring on the mattress and it is just over 4 years old. Thanks, but I'll keep my Tempur-pedic for the most comfortable 7 hours of every day of my life :)
