With a decent case for some air flow what kind of temps would you expect to see with a stock AMD HSF for a Socket 939 board? According to the Asus Probe the temps are 90F - 95F with both sides of the case off and the CPU fan running 6000+ RPM! Great googly moogly this thing is noisy.

I have the ArctiClean system and some more AS5. Thinking about tearing everything apart and trying to reapply the AS5. Such a pain in the ass. Can never seem to get that drop of AS5 on the processor just right. Running that hot I must have an air pocket when the AS5 was applied.

While I'm here any suggestions for a better HSF? Doesn't have to be pretty since there is no case window on this system.

Mobo - Asus A8N-E
Proc - AMD X2 4600+
HSF - Stock

Assuming you did mean 90 to 95F, and not 90 to 95C, then it's running nice and cool. That's only about 35C. Nothing wrong there, just see if you can turn the fan speed down a bit.

Or am I missing something?
