does anyone know why my idle temps dont go below like 48.... everyones are in the lower 40's or even upper 30's... and i have the alpha 8045, 2nd best heatsink next to swifty 462.... why are they so high.. also have a Panaflo H1A 39cfm and 32db... i uninstalled the heatsink because i thought i put too few AS3 on and cleared that AS3 and added a little more than before.. still the same temps... like 50idle and 58 full load with prime...... wtf... i also have very good case cooling.. my overclocks arent that high.. only 141fsb at 1.85 volts... hmmm... i didnt pay for a 35$ heatsink for the temps to be like a stock heatsink.. anyone know what the problem is?

my room temps are around 75-80f and case temps are from 26-33 ... 33 being at full load with prime95 running and 27 being idle
also the thermistor or whatever the temp measuring probe is called sits right under the cpu core processor.. i think it touches it

I can say with 97% certainty that it is vecause of your room temps. I keep my room at about 72, and my temps stay about 42-44 full load at that temp. If I crank the air conditioning like I do during the summer, the room temp goes down to 66 or so, and my CPU temps will stay steady at 34-36. Air temp makes a huge difference. Your room temp is quite high, and in turn so is your case temp (mine is rarely above 25). Therefore, the fans are blowing air that is already quite warm over your heatsink. As long as your machine is stable, I wouldnt worry about it. Another factor to consider is that none of these motherboard thermistors are accurate. Abits are known to read the temperatures a bit higher than say, MSI or Epox.

Hey dude... i just put 2 Panaflo H1A's over my heatsink and my idle temps are now 43C... 2 Panflo H1A's come 80CFM... no wonder they put those huge delta's that produce 80CFM at 52B... my computer now sounds like a screaming machine...
