Yesterday was the best day of this swell, it's dropping a bit now . .. should be a new one Sunday (head high)

Enjoy, i'm stuck in the SoCal Desert (2 hrs away from La Jolla) . . . . but the weather is sure NICE!

quit complaining . . . . while we were FREEZING in So Cal with sub-Normal temps for ~30 days (60s F), you were enjoying 70s+ F.

I've surfed countless afternoons at Blacks without it getting blown out.... it definately depends on the conditions... i'm going to head out there right now.

But it better be cold on Christmas I still can't get over the fact I wore shorts 3 years ago because it was in the upper 80's. Whatever though SoCal weather rules.

Personally I prefer North Shore, Oahu for Fall/Winter/Spring.

(i know, i Surfed San Diego from '83-91 and '99 to now and North Shore (esp. Pipe) '92-'99 and '01. 😛

. . . and can't beat the Hawaiian Winter for temps (if not wind and rain). 🙂

I just got back from Black.... it was really fun. The waves were about shoulder to head high with off-shore winds. They weren't that consistant, but i definately had some fun ones.... the tide was super low. Tomorrow might be better...

Wow, so how was it surfing Pipe? I've been surfing for about 10 years now... i grew up in Oxnard...

Surf shouldda come up a little today. . . . HOWEVER a BIG swell for late in the week. . .. get ready!

Pipe lives up to the hype! An UNbelievablely awesome wave. . . . . there is NOTHING like being blasted out of a 25' (top-to-bottom) tube . . .

i used to professionally forecast the Hawaiian Surf . . . . it's nice to know 'what's coming' 🙂

BTW, it was even WARMER today in the desert! . . . still 70s expected for the rest of the week 🙂
