What temps are too high for the 1.2. I use a VanTec hs/fan and at idle the hardware monitor shows 34-36c. After playing a few minutes of Rogues Spear the temperature increases to around 50c. I am running at 12.5 x 107 w voltage of 1.85 on KT7A. Runs real stable while surfing but may crash during heavy gaming.

What is your motherboard temp, or system temp?

Are you using thermal grease or the default thermal pad?

MB temps are about 34c right now, but I haven't been gaming. No thermal tape just heat transfer grease. My brother had this stuff in a tube that has an aluminun color to it. It was not the white transfer compound I was used to seeing.
It seems my temps raise quickly when gaming and I didn't know if that was normal with the TBird. What temps are expected with the 1.2?

i got about the same temps with the vantec and KT7A, but with a 850 t-bird at 1005(7.5x134), and it crashed too....then i realized there wasnt enough circulation behind the computer. i pulled my computer out in the open, now i get max temp of 42C.

I keep the case off my computer and it sits on the floor where it remains fairly cool. Are the TBirds prone to rapid heat up and cool down? I can watch the hardware monitor after running a graphic intense program and it will typically drop 8-10 degree celcius in a matter of a minute.

Well, if you could read core temps, the drop would occur in probalby 10 seconds or less..

As far as your temps, if you can work on dropping that mb/case temp, it may improve your system stability...
