Temporary tooth stopper / filling help

On the off chance there's any dentists here or anyone who's had a similar problem, I was kicked in the side of the face by accident a while ago and one of my molars cracked right down the middle and split down to the jaw, had the top of it removed 2 weeks ago but am waiting for my specialist consultation for surgery this thursday at the moment.

In the mean time I've had this putty shite put in the hole to keep pressure on the exposed nerve and fill the gap temporarily, it was fine until tonight when it got pulled out with something I was eating.

Anyone got any recommendations on something that might be available over the counter somewhere that I can use to plug the gap in the mean time until I can get back to the dentist in the week?

It's pretty painful having an exposed nerve ending and it's also really hard to get hold of a dentist at 1am on a Sunday morning.

Would appreciate any advice / experiences / suggestions etc.
