At the beginning of this year, i had nearly perfect vision in both eyes, but as of today, my eyes are so bad that i am having a hard time reading stuff thats 10 feet away. The cause of this problem could be from a combination of reading papers and doing computer stuff at work and also playing long hours of WoW. I am going to the eye doctor tomorrow to get my eyes checked, and i know he will recommend me on getting vision aids. I don't wear glasses or contacts now and i really don't want to start wearing them unless i know my vision will not be back to normal. And so my question is, if i cut back on the WoW, do you think my vision will come back again?

same thing happened to me - doc asked if i spent "at least 5 hours a day looking at papers/screens" closer than 3 feet.... after thinking about it, I realized I probably spend more like 8-12 hours looking at stuff that close. the guy smirked and said long periods of forcing your lens to focus on things that close can misshappen it.

It is always advisable to get your eyes checked before it gets worse. Some say that wearing glasses or contacts would bring down the sight or atleast prevent futher defectiveness. In my case, none of that happened. Cutting out on reading, watching stuff on screens will not get your eyesight back to normal. Just ask the doc what precautions you should take.

Btw, it's not that bad wearing glasses..........some look much smarter and intelligent in glasses ;)
