Temporary ban on Wii scalpers?

I'm started to see threads with Wii's that are way overpriced. I'm all for selling Wii's, but when someone is trying to get $100+ over retail it's a bit much.

So, maybe a temp ban, or just some common sense for the ridiculous profiteers?

The only way we would ban the sale is if they were gouging based on a shortage of the Wii's as we did with the iphones. There doesn't appear to be a shortage of Wii's. They are just a little hard to find. If people don't like their prices, don't respond to the seller's threads. We aren't in the business of telling people what they should get for their goods.

Given that Nintendo is giving people Christmas rain checks to get a Wii in late January, isn't a shortage of Wii's exactly what we currently have (like last Christmas)?

I can still find them locally here on occasion, maybe I should be buying them and heading right to ebay? ;)

Or at the very least people would gladly pay you retail + $50 + shipping in FS/FT.
