We did something similar with the Wii and PS3 releases. Right now after the Walmart sale there are many Xbox 360 Arcades available that many bought simply to turn a profit. That's not necessarily a bad thing.
What *is* a disturbing trend however is the dramatic increase in banned / gut swapped Xboxes on the second-hand market.
Since there is literally no way to tell if a console is gut-swapped or banned without already purchasing, I think there should be a hold on the allowance of selling these boxes. We are a generally honest and truthful community. But that does not necessarily mean that there aren't those here that would lie about it.
The threat of someone selling a banned / gut-swapped console is always there, but in these times of exhorbitant console bannings I think something should be put in place for the safety of the members. Just temporarily of course. After the holiday season is over we should be in a much better position when it comes to the number of these types of consoles.
Ebay at least provides a slight recourse to those who were lied to, but it isn't the same here.
