Not sure if that link is a repost, but we did have a large discussion about Jesus' skin color a while back. What generally happened (amidst the usual flaming) was:

1) Some Christians declared it was hooey and Jesus was as white as Jerry Falwell.
2) Some Atheists and Christians said "Who knows, he was probably more olive-skinned, but it doesn't matter because he was the son of god/ just a human with delusions.
3) Some Atheists declared this was definite and insurmountable proof once and for all of the non-existance of God.
