My average ambient temperature is around 32 C. If that's the case, what would be the ideal temp for my CPU and inside the case?

Thanks!

umm, you do realize that 32 C is somewhere around 90 F? That's pretty damn hot for ambient temp! But, no matter what it is, I would expect a case with good airflow to get 2-6 degrees hotter than that, and the CPU temp to be 10-20 degrees hotter than case.

Yeah I know. I live along the equator and it gets pretty damn hot. Even on a cloudy day!

Thanks for the feedback.

How are you taking this temp? Through your BIOS? You're prolly looking at the chipset temp, not case temp. Get a household thermometer or something else that can take temp and leave it in your case. Then check it after 5-10 mins. Your case temp, if you have good airflow, should be the same as the room temp.

Ambient temp is taken through an air-cond remote. I'm currently running on a k6-2 500 with stock cooling.
CPU is around 39C idle and can shoot up to around 50C under load. Case is around 35C idle and 45C+ under load without active cooling.

I'm not really worried bout this comp though. Getting a highly spec-ed AMD 1800+ right after my exams are over.:D Just looking for some guidelines on temps. Thanks for the feedback. It was a great help.
