Temperatures

I just got my 6800GT installed, and I noticed an oddity in SpeedFan...it shows a new temperature label "Remote Temp". I assumed that this must be sensing the new card, but when I check in Nvidia readings in Display Properties, there is a 10C difference in temperatures, 47C for SF and 57C for Nvidia. Is this merely a difference reading the same temperature, or is the Remote Temp something else?

EDIT: I overlooked another new temperature called "Local Temp", it's at 42C... now I'm more confused than ever.

I've always had a motherboard temp, it is the first one given. It's followed by the CPU, HD0, HD1, HD2, CPU Core, Local Temp, HD3 and Remote Temp, in that order.

I had to pull the card, because of problems with it, and reinstalled my old card. I noticed that the readings for local and remote temps both disappeared from SpeedFAn, so I guess that they were from the video card after all. I wish I knew what they meant?
