I installed the 6800 about 2 hours ago. I've been surfing the web the entire 2 hours.

Room Temperature is about 70 Far.

The 6800s' Software is Reporting 57C GPU Temp & 38C Ambient Temp, Temps OK ?

The Set-up: X-Dreamer2 Case w/ Window Fan blowing into PC & a Fan just below the PSU, Blowing Out. Soyo Kt400 Dragon Ultra Mobo, 2400+ (not OC'ed), Ultra X-connect 500W PSU, Zalman NB47J HS w/ Artic Siver5. According to Soyo HardWare Monitor, My CPU Temp=39C, CHA Temp=35C

Are those Temps OK ???

Thanks

Those temps are fine. What would be interesting would be the load temps.
Thanks, What should I do to get 'Load' Temps ???

I like to play Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, KOTOR2 & Splinter Cell, would playing any of those be considered a "Load" Temp ???

Also, Is there a Better way to Measure the GPU & Ambient Temps then the 'Stock' 6800 Software. ??? As it is now, to get the Temps i have to: Right-click Desktop>Properties>Settings>Advanced>GeForce 6800>Temperature Settings

I'm running Forceware 77.77 if that matters.

Thanks for the Help

Yes, get RivaTuner. Search for a guide that will make it so it displays your GPU temp in your taskbar... should be somewhere on these forums.

I always have that up and it's a very good temperature indicator. And, on topic, your temps are perfectly fine. Remember, your card can theoretically go all the way to 120C before it begins throttling.

Thanks, So "RivaTuner" will show the Temps in the Taskbar ??? Or is it just for Unlocking ?

& Cool, thanks, I'm glad to hear my Temps are OK.

Thanks

Download RTHDRIBL, and run it windowed, with your temperatures displayed in Nvidia's control panel. Probably see mid 80's gpu temp.

Yes, you can set up RivaTuner to show the GPU temperature on the taskbar.
