Temperatures of my new rig (Just roasted for 24H!)

Except I'm pretty sure they are. 😉

CPU
Athlon XP1700 @ 2.0GHz (10x200MHz, 1.65v), and an SLK-800A with a Vantec Stealth. Temps taken at socket.

Other spaceheaters
FireGL T2-64s QS @ 450/500, AGP 1.55v
Seagate Barracuda ATAIV

Idle
CPU - 31
Case - 30
HDD - 29

Prime95 + 3DMark looptesting peak temps
CPU - 44
Case - 38
HDD - 32

I frickin  this machine. 😀

Those temps are damn good, considering you've got an older XP that runs a little warmer than the Bartons or mobile chips. Just for comparison, my mobile 2600+ running at 190x12.5 = ~2.4ghz runs around 47-50C under full load.

Great temps. I have noticed when overclocking t-breds or bartons that a core voltage of 1.65v usually yields nice cool cpu load temps with adequate cooling. I always give up that last 100MHz or so of speed that you get from moving up to 1.75-1.80v. It just isn't worth the increased temps to me.

With nearly 20,000 posts, I'm sure you know those temps are fine. I guess its never a bad time to brag and such, but don't forget that your board is most likely under-temping by several C. If I was a MB manufacturer, I would under-temp my board by 15C that way everyone would be like "hey guys check out these temps!" and then everyone would go out and buy my board because it runs so "cool".

Don't forget your tinfoil hat. 😛

The Shuttle AN35N is a known good board for clocking up, and is pretty damn accurate with temperatures too. Also, the board choice has basically zero to do with the CPU cooling.

Maybe I should clock up a little bit more. 😉
