Temperature weird question.

Hi all,

Running the second week of a new build

Clawhammer 3200
zalman 7000
msi neo platinum 754
corsair 3200 value
radeon 9800 pro
one intake fan one exhaust fan


At stock 10x200 idle temps are 32
When I raise the fsb to 220 and run it at 2.2 ghz idle temps DROP to 30

This is both in mbm and mis core.

Any ideas? Just wondering.

Might be because the Zalman automatically raise the fan speed or AMD's cool n quiet kicked in.
2 degree defference is so small might even be due to variation in room temperature

I wouldn't worry about that.
Also you are measuring idle temperature. Since both cases the CPU aren't loaded at all. You did not raise the Voltage of the CPU so there's no reason why the temperature would raise/drop.
