Temperature Sensor

I have a Foxconn NF4UK8AA-8EKRS with the nforce4 ultra chipset. I'm wondering where the temperature sensor is for the system temperature. I'm interested in changing the noisy chipset fan for a passive solution. Is the temperature sensor monitoring the chipset? I tried emailing Foxconn and the guy who replied said he wasn't sure.

Thanks

I have just replaced my active cooling on my MSI K8N SLI Platinum to passive cooling. Well, it became ridiculusly hot. So I had to add a fan to get the temperature down.... which in the end resulted in that my system now makes more sound than it did from the begining....

I dont think that it would read the chipset, but i can say for sure

Otherwise, i've heard that passive is usually better for chipsets. Just make sure to buy a really nice one...and u might try posting the one ur looking at on here so others can tell u what they think of it
