Temperature-reducing registry hack for Tbirds: will this affect or be rendered ineffective by the rc5 client?

Supposedly, the registry hack described here brings up halt instructions to lower temps on Tbirds (posts in the mobo forum say it doesn't work on Durons). Will it behave like Rain when confronted with rc5?

Maybe it's just me.... but they don't say which OS they're using. I tried reading it....but that didn't help me any;)

Just remember that win2k, linux, and other OS's automatically have the hlt command built in, and have a lower priority than RC5 and others.

i am using WinME on my system and got real good results with it. it varies depending on hardware setup and other stuff installed on computer. BTW this hack is only for A7V & A7V133

BK is most likely right, most halt commands are lower still than RC5, so RC5 will keep the CPU from going lower, while still keeping up the same great output.
