Temperature reading disparity b/t BIOS and Coretemp?

I have an FX-6300 plugged into an ASRock 970 Extreme3 motherboard, cooled by a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, running at stock clocks. When I'm in the UEFI BIOS, it shows the CPU temp at around 26 C, but when I'm in Coretemp, it reads around 10 C on idle, and around 23 C on maximum load running Prime95. My ambient room temperature hangs around 16 C. Is this normal, and if so, which one do I trust?

perfectly normal. BIOS temp is more like load temp, because there are no throttling/power-saving features active in BIOS.
