I have P4 1.6@2.0(I was not confident with my temp so I stopped there) with MSI 845 Ultra-ARU . but I got 32C,69C, and -47C from MBM5.
Anybody has the same config like mine, what temp you have now? wonder if MBM5 give you the right temp. since MSI does not have it right
Thanks

I couldn't get mbm5 to work with the 845 ARU either. It kept telling me CPU was 90c and all the warnings went off. I just look at what Sandra says now. If you have 3.0 version bios your temps are off. 3.1 or 3.2 fixed the problem.

Sandra and bios match temps so thats good enough for me. 38c at idle, 44c running Prime 95. 1.6a @2.24

After reinstall MBM5 , I managed to get 27C, 36C and -46C so I think I should be OK, I ran 1.6A @ 2.13 (16 x 133Mhz) , everything else is stock stuff
But I have another problem that I couldn't get Sisoft Sandra run, every time I try it, it say "Out of Scan Range " and restart my Comp. ? I couldn't run Fuzzy Logic III etheir, it say : Floating point division of zero" Otherwise evrytihng is OK? Please help me

Check your MB BIOS version as 308nato said. The 3.0 version just does not work right, even with MSI's PCAlert program. I flashed to 3.2 and now everything seems to be working properly. I am getting about 34C-37C Idle, and around 45C-50C full load.

MBM seems messed up on my setup also, i use SpeedFan
instead and it's working great, so i uninstall MBM
and use that program in addition to MSI PC alert and Sandra.

My 1.8@2.5 [139x18] is running flawlessly at 19c idle,
22c loaded, 26 heavily loaded with a case temp 35c.

peace

Yeah right. Update your BIOS, the current one you have is misreporting the true temps. I know , mine had the same temps before I updated my bios.

Wow that's the latest BIOS. Your temps are great. Those were the temps I was getting before I flashed my BIOS to 3.2. I'm amazed that they are lower than the Motherboard temps.

Actually I don't feel it's right also, but this is my
P4 setup and i don't know how's the behavior.

one thing that i did differently wih most of you guys
i use the rear case fan as the intake and make the front one
for the blowing out.

I'm gonna try reversing my top rear fan as well. I have an Antec 1040 and the fan is almost right next to the hsf. I've seen mention of others doing this and it lowered temps. (As long as your room isn't 90c).

Best of all, it doesn't cost anything.:)
