Hey there.

I am using a P III 600e@800 and I am running RC5 under full load the CPU gets about 38-40C ... is that a good temperature. I am using an Alpha FC-PALK35 with a YS-Tech fan and Arctic Silver Paste.

Let me know

thats a great temp! i would try using something a little more demanding than RC5 as it only tests some parts of the CPU. try playing UT for a while, or Quake3, something like that which stresses all of the CPU. a basic rule of thumb is that so long as you are under 50C, you're doing ok

I don't play Quake 3 or Unreal T. Any other programs I could test the CPU with.

I've found that RC5 max's out my cpu temps more than UT,CPU stability test or anything else on my systems.I ran the others on my CelII 633@950 and thought I was stable. As soon as I started running RC5 my temps skyrocketed and I had to get better cooling.

Welcome to the 38C club :)
I have an Athlon 500 (well, it aint anymore, LOL) which under full rc5 load in warmer times got to about 38C. As i live in the UK and its now into Autumn/winter, its coooooooooooooooooooooold. My room just happens to be by far the coldest room in the house as well :) Bye Bye 38C, hello 32C. Time for more o/c me thinks, hehe.
