I am trying to figure out which sensor to pick for in MBM for this motherboard? How would I find this out? Anyone else have this mobo? Thanks.

Does your Asus board use a winbond sensor ?

In that case it might be the same as my board. I use MBM 5 set to Winbond 2 diode.

Hope it helps.

Yeah i have one of those boards, its lying in a box under my desk. Had it filled with a AMD 1800 . 512 Kingston ram (specified by Asus) and all i ever had were problems with installs, lockups, couldnt run any game at all, tried everything, and i mean everything, till i finally underclocked the cpu to 131 from 133, setting. Then it was happy as a clam. But i wasnt. So just take this as a heads up if you experience anything like this.

And ill just add to others who may read this, i am using now every piece of hardware in new MO that i was using in the Asus, perfectly stable. Oh, yes sure i now run a Barton 2500, stable as well, but used the 1800 a month in this board before i got the Barton and everything was then as it is now, stable.
May just have been my (1) board, but who knows... and before anyone asks why i didnt rma it, i am just going to build a system for my daughter with it. She wont notice unclocking, shes using a Amd 300 cpu board now.

Did you o/c at all with that board? I was able to o/c an XP 2400+ to 2.2 Ghz. I checked in the bios after running a few min., temp. was 48.5 deg. C.

No, I did not overclock.

That's a very good overclock. Running at 3200+ speed.

Did you get MBM working ? Have you tried Asus probe.

You are going to have to get some kind of temp utility, because by the time you get to the bios to check to temp it already dropped a bit.

Here a link to a website if you don't have Asus probe :

Has got a lot of utilities.

Thanks. No, I didnt quite get it to work. I thought it was working at one point when it said 37 deg. C (kinda low), but when I checked later in the day it gave me an oddball number (negative temperature). I'll check asus probe.

I downloaded and ran asus probe, and it reports 50 deg. C. Is that what I should expect for such an overclock? Should I try and go even higher? ;)

Is that 50 deg C. on load ?

It's a bit high. I think you should run Prime95 to check for stability and how high your temp go.

Use the History recording mode in Asus probe while you are running Prime95 for a few hours and then check the results before you overclock any higher.
