Temperature monitor for Dell M170 XPS?

I have a Dell laptop XPS m170 and I was wondering if there is a utility I can get that will allow me to monitor the temperature of the video card.

It seems like I will start a game and the FPS are excellent. Then after a while it will start to get crappy fps, so I pause the game and it still gets crappy FPS, I alt tab and look at the processes tab and it doesn't look like anything is taking up the CPU except the game. If I go back into it quickly the FPS are still crappy. If I alt tab it for a while and bring it back up it seems like the FPS return to a good number even though the game is still paused so I'm thinking it's the video card is overheating, is that normal for my laptop? If not then what can I do?

works perfectly with your m170 as the chart says. i also used to use this with my dell inspiron 8200 years ago...great program.

I installed the fanio driver and the i9kfangui 2.2 and it works.

How hot is too hot for the GPU on this computer? It's a 6800 Ultra.
