Temperature LCD sensors?

The stuff is here - the case box and the box full of all the computer components. I've just been rummaging around and I'm sort of curious. The case says that there are two temp sensors (I was expecting this) - but it says I can tape the sensors to heat-sink to detect cpu temperatures, or tape on HDD to detect hdd temp, or just let it hang inside the case to monitor overall system temp.

So where should I have them connect? One taped to the inside of the case and another to the CPU...or well er, anyone know what the best way to go about it is? I have work that I have to get ready for - so that will give some time for feedback on this before I'm back. Thanks guys!
