Ok, friend has everything correctly installed all fans and whatnot are completely correct in their placement and my friends Athlon64 3000+ with stock cooling and in a Lian-li case with a Abit KT800 mobo non-pro idles at around 60c-64c and when he plays games it goes up to 70c-75c. My only conclusion that I have come to is that this must be a bios related problem temp readings are incorrect, these temps are annoying, his alarms go off and system is forced to shutdown, is there a link I could get to where I can possibly download a bios update for him?

is the heatsink properly installed? thermal paste/ arctic silver spread properly? maybe the cpu isn't making proper contact with the heatsink, therefor not properly tranfering heat to the heatsink.

yup Ive checked, we stopped by a local computer store, im surprised by their knowledge actually. I couldn't believe it when I went in there they have X800XTPEs for sale.. the gigabyte revisions. Anyways they told me that my friend needs to update the bios, which I already came to that conclusion cause heatsink and thermal paste are applied and installed correctly.
