Temp Under Load vs. Temp While Gaming

So here's a question. I just got through playing a session of Call of Duty 2, all settings maxed out, for about an hour or so, and the CPU temp never got above 54 degrees. This is nearly ten whole degrees cooler than it got while running doing stress tests with Orthos. Considering the fact that I'm not likely to be actually crunching prime numbers during typical use of this machine, should I even be considering the temperature Orthos gives me, in terms of an overclocking temperature limit? Or should I consider "temp under load" as "temp while gaming?"

(I branched this topic off from this thread because it seemed to be getting pretty far off the topic of the original post. I hope that's kosher forum etiquette.)

Thats exactly what it should be, Games don't stress the CPU, they stress the GPU. I don't know what the CPU usage in CoD2 is but in BF2 my CPU runs at 30%, while orthos runs at 100% reason why there is such a change temps.

Orthos temp shouldn't go above 60C ( for a stable moderate OC ) in general use Gaming, Surfing etc I wouldn't like it going any higher than 50C but it is safe up to 65C although it will reduce the lifespan of you CPU but it should still last more than 3yrs.
